As a young child living on the South Coast of Massachusetts I would spend my weekends with my grandmother, or as I have always called her vavó, which is Portuguese for grandma. I loved weekends with her. She used to make the most epic salads, you know the kind that you would never wanna know the calorie content of because it combined all your servings of grain, vegetable, dairy, meat and fat into one huge amazing salad! She once made me a garage for my matchbox cars out of a cardboard box, we would watch Celtics games, go down to the big rock that was on the lake, and I would help her carry in the gallon milk jugs because I was strong like that.
My Grandmother instilled many great qualities in me such as forgiveness, selflessness, and of course never put anything you don't want people to remember in writing.
So going back to that Summer/Fall of 2008, two things happened that led to this eventual blog post: 1. Doodle on Yahoo chat was discovered and 2. Joe got a job working at a radio station where his job was to make sure the commercials were timed right to come on and off at the appropriate times during the NFL season. So one evening Allie and I decided to give Joe a present, see below, and remember the words of wisdom my grandmother had given me when I was younger...
Umm...IDK why the flower is there, and I just realized the "football" player looks like he's on the Jets. The fish I believe is llama girl's sidekick, and the smilie face is something I just like drawing. Maybe for the sake of this photo, it's smiling because the "Jet's" player didn't make the touchdown...Yeah, I am going with that!
